After a great business plan contest and strong competitors, it is with great pleasure that we announce to you the winning team of GuateVerde 2009, Quetsol!

Quetsol is a new business that provides high efficiency, low cost solar technologies that aim to increase basic illumination, electricity generation, and water pumping needs in Guatemala. AIDG is greatly looking forward to working with this talented team and continuing in our mission to increase access to basic energy through local business support.

Congratulations to Quetsol and thank you to all the staff, volunteers, reviewers, judges and supporters who made GuateVerde 2009 a huge success.

With such strong finalist candidates in GuateVerde 2009 it was a close competition. Needless to say, Guatemala has many strong, motivated, and talented entrepreneurs ready to put forth their ambitions and skills to promote greener, cleaner living in the country.
